A third party that transfers title out of your name without your permission is considered a Title Thief.
This act is also known as mortgage deed theft. While it is quite rare, it is a real threat.
So what can you do? I’ll share a substantial action you can take, in just a moment. But for now, just know that locking or freezing your credit can add a layer of protection.
The big thing you can do is retain the services of a company, that provides identity theft protection and an Identity monitoring service. And guess what? Your’s truly is an Agent with just such a company. This established company is 18 years old. What they offer is not specifically designed to protect against Title Theft (and that service doesn’t truly exist anywhere that I know of). But this company does provideI identity theft protection as part of a consumer protection plan.
